Seasonal comfort throughout the year
Spring (March-May)
Start the morning slowly with a cosy breakfast. The parkland comes alive – deer and calves in nearby fields, daffodils everywhere, ducklings on the pond, and plenty of birdsong.
As the weather can be changeable, it’s always best to pack layers and waterproofs alongside your summer stuff.
What surprises spring visitors? How quickly it warms up once the sun’s out. One minute you’re in jumpers, next minute the kids are in shorts running around the playground.
Summer (June-August)
Beautiful sunsets and long evenings are perfect for sitting outside with a glass of wine whilst the kids tire themselves out at the playpark. The Pod stays naturally cool during the day with the door open, then comfortably warm at night when closed up.
Autumn (September-November)
After a day exploring Dorset, the Pods are the perfect retreat. As the evening draws in, relax in comfort, pop the kettle on, and plan the next day. October can be absolutely stunning – those crisp mornings with mist hanging over everything, then bright afternoons perfect for coastal walks.
November gets dark early, and if you are lucky, some stunning clear night skies for some star spotting. The underfloor heating runs throughout, you’re making hot chocolate in your kitchenette at 4 pm, and the kids are playing board games whilst rain patters on the roof. It’s that feeling of being genuinely outdoors but completely comfortable.
Winter (December)
Winter glamping can be rather special. The Pods stay warm, as the underfloor heating runs constantly, and the construction keeps the heat in brilliantly. Wake up to frost on the grass outside, pop the kettle on and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your warm and cosy pod, a perfect way to start the day.
The days are shorter, and it’s often dark by 4:30 pm, so you might be spending more time inside. That’s when the kitchenette really helps. Warming soup for lunch, hot drinks throughout the day and simple comfort food for dinner whilst it’s pitch black outside.
We recommend bringing board games or cards, good books, and warm clothes for daytime exploring. The award-winning beaches are empty, Dorset’s attractions are quieter, and you will feel like you’ve got the place practically to yourselves. Where will you explore?
