A warm welcome awaits you
Welcome to South Lytchett Manor, our family-run camping, touring and glamping park set in beautiful Dorset countryside near Poole.
Surrounded by mature trees, landscaped grounds, and wildlife, yet within easy reach of Poole Harbour, Bournemouth, the Isle of Purbeck, and the Jurassic Coast, South Lytchett Manor offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful place to relax and a fantastic base for exploring Dorset.
We welcome campers, touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, roof tent campers and guests looking for a little more comfort in our characterful glamping accommodation. Dogs are very welcome too.
But South Lytchett Manor is much more than somewhere to pitch up for the night. For us, it is about creating a place where guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive, somewhere you can slow down, spend time together and make the most of everything Dorset has to offer.

Our story
Our family took over South Lytchett Manor in 2006, when the park was a three-star touring site with plenty of potential.
Since then, we have continually invested in the park, carefully developing the facilities, pitches, landscaping and accommodation while retaining the peaceful countryside character that makes South Lytchett Manor so special.
Today, South Lytchett Manor has grown into one of Dorset’s leading five-star camping, caravan and glamping parks, welcoming returning guests and first-time visitors from across the UK and beyond. Despite all that has changed, our approach remains very simple: offer exceptional standards, genuinely friendly service and the kind of holiday experience that makes people want to come back.
20 years of family ownership
In December 2026, we’re celebrating a very special milestone – 20 years since our family took ownership of South Lytchett Manor.
Over those two decades, we’ve seen the park evolve enormously. We’ve upgraded our touring and camping pitches, developed award-winning facilities, introduced distinctive glamping accommodation, enhanced our dog-friendly facilities and invested in the natural environment and community around us.
We’ve also watched families return year after year, children grow up and bring back families of their own and first-time visitors become familiar faces.
That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.
And while awards and five-star ratings mean a great deal to us, our ambition for South Lytchett Manor goes beyond accolades. We want to create one of the UK’s most loved camping and touring parks.

An award-winning Dorset campsite
Our team’s commitment to quality, cleanliness, customer service and attention to detail has earned South Lytchett Manor recognition from some of the UK’s leading tourism and camping organisations.
Our awards and accolades include:
- AA Five Star rated holiday park
- Practical Caravan & Practical Motorhome Top 100 Sites – Dorset Regional Winner 2025 and 2026
- Diamond Loo of the Year Award
- AA Campsite of the Year 2021–22
- Recognition for our customer service, sustainability and commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience
We’re delighted to receive awards, but what matters most is what they represent: the consistently high standards our team works hard to deliver every day.
Holidays your way
We know there’s no single way to enjoy a Dorset holiday.
For some guests, nothing beats waking up under canvas to the sound of birdsong. Others love arriving with their caravan, campervan or motorhome and having everything they need waiting for them.
And if you’d like the outdoor experience without pitching a tent, our glamping collection offers something a little different, including Romany Caravans, Shepherd Huts, Glamping Pods, Star-gazing Yurts and Nomadic Bell Tents.
Whichever way you choose to stay, you’ll have access to our excellent park facilities and a friendly team ready to help you make the most of your time in Dorset.

Five-star facilities with a friendly welcome
We believe the little things make a big difference to a holiday.
You’ll find high-quality shower and amenity facilities, spacious pitches, a children’s play area, sports field and table tennis, as well as our shop and Café at the Gates.
During the high season, you can enjoy a drink at The Manor’s Tap, pick up a freshly made pizza from The Manor’s Crust and look out for our visiting food vans.
For four-legged guests, there’s a 2.5-acre off-lead exercise field, dog agility area and dog wash, making South Lytchett Manor a great choice if you’re looking for a dog-friendly campsite in Dorset.
And if you’d like to leave the car behind, there’s a bus stop (No 40) right outside our gates, making days out around Poole and the Isle of Purbeck even easier.
Caring for our corner of Dorset
We’re incredibly fortunate to call this part of Dorset home and looking after it is an important part of how we run South Lytchett Manor.
Across the park, mature trees, hedgerows, wildflower areas, ponds, and wildlife-friendly planting create valuable habitats and beautiful surroundings for our guests.
We’re continually looking at ways to reduce our environmental impact, encourage biodiversity, support local suppliers and help guests explore the area more sustainably.
From recycling and energy-saving measures to wildlife habitats and encouraging car-free days out from the bus stop at our gates, sustainability is part of everyday life at South Lytchett Manor.
Our approach has been recognised with VisitEngland Green Tourism Gold, but we’re always looking for ways to do more.

Part of our local community
Being family-run also means being part of the community around us.
We support local charities, including Julia’s House, community initiatives and organisations and work with local businesses and suppliers wherever possible.
Whether that’s stocking Dorset produce, recommending independent businesses and attractions to our guests, fundraising for local causes or supporting community projects, we want tourism to have a positive impact beyond the park gates.
After all, helping our guests discover and enjoy Dorset is a big part of what we do.
A little bit of history
South Lytchett Manor has a fascinating story that stretches back much further than our time here.
The park occupies land that once formed part of the historic South Lytchett Manor House estate, home to generations of the Lees family while they were Lords of the Manor at Lytchett Minster.
The grounds also have some intriguing wartime stories. From the park’s main gates being buried during the Second World War to bullet holes in the Lodge and a road built to accommodate American tanks, there are reminders of the past all around us.
Today, we continue to care for this historic setting while writing the next chapter in South Lytchett Manor’s story.
